Zena loved to make friends with the people who came to Annie’s office. Sometimes they brought her treats. She made friends [with me] at the local Starbucks, meaning more treats. She reached out to a lonely woman at the bank, making the woman’s day.

Off Topic: My Best Friend Zena
By Margaret DoreKalispell Montana. Approximately two years ago, my friend, Dr. Annie Bukacek, purchased a dog for protection, naming her Zena. It soon became apparent that Zena was a different kind of dog. For whatever reason, she never learned her name, but she knew when we were talking about her. She was smart, silly and very social.

Who We Are and What We Do
Northwest Montana Fair |
The Foundation for Choice is an Illusion is a 501(c)3 public charity opposed to assisted suicide and euthanasia.
In states such as Oregon and Washington, where assisted suicide and/or euthanasia is legal, the laws apply to people with years to live. The laws also provide cover for murder by requiring that deaths be reported as "Natural" no matter what the facts and without even a hint that the actual cause of death was assisted suicide or euthanasia. Suicide contagion is also a problem.

Thank You to Our Volunteers
Margaret Dore at the Fair |
We educated the public about problems with legalization, including how people with years to live are encouraged to throw away their lives, and fatal elder abuse.
Thanks especially, to everyone who worked the table, including Lucinda Hardy of Columbia Falls, Gail Bell of Bozeman and Linda Clark of Seattle. To read Lucinda's story, click here. To read Gail's story, click here.
